Grooms named vice president at Buckeye Power

Craig Grooms has been named the vice president of Market Operations for Buckeye Power.

“Craig will lead our efforts to assure Buckeye receives a reliable and economic supply of power from our resources within the constraints that the PJM market and the Ohio transmission owners allow,” Buckeye Power Senior Vice President Pat O’Loughlin said. “His team will leverage the resources of ACES (a member-owned energy marketing firm) and other affiliated organizations to advance our interests in reliable and economically efficient grid operations.”

Grooms joined Buckeye Power in 2004 and has been serving as director, Resource Scheduling. As VP of Market Operations, Grooms will report directly to O’Loughlin.

Prior to joining Buckeye, Grooms held positions with NRG Energy and Dayton Power & Light.

A native of Dayton, Grooms has a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering technology from the University of Dayton, an MBA from Otterbein College and is a graduate of the Management Internship Program through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
