Buckeye Power elects officers, executive committee membersOctober 18, 2013
Members of Buckeye Power elected representatives to the Executive Committee and the cooperative’s officers at the annual meeting held Monday.
The generation-and-transmission cooperative’s leadership remains unchanged.
Steve Nelson (Frontier Power) remains as chairman, a position he has served in since 1996.
Mike Sims (Butler Rural Electric Cooperative) was elected vice chairman, Roger Yoder (Union Rural Electric) was elected secretary and Doug Miller (Logan County Co-op) was elected treasurer.
Elected to serve on the Executive Committee were: District 1 — Glenn Miller (Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative); District 2 — Markus Bryant (Lorain-Medina Rural Electric & North Central Electric Cooperative); District 3 — Doug Miller; District 4 — Yoder; District 5 — Nelson; District 6 — Tonda Meadows (Buckeye Rural Electric Cooperative); District 7 — Rick Lemonds (South Central Power); and the two at-large members are Sims and John Metcalf (Mid-Ohio Energy).
